Good-bye Kindergarten

September seems like it was just yesterday & according to this blog, it was only 6 posts ago. ;)

But really, the year did fly by.

Keira had a fantastic year in Kindergarten. Her teacher, Mrs. Biggs was so wonderful. And she made so many great friends. So needless to say, Keira was so bummed that today was the last day.

We got her a little gift to celebrate her year of learning!

Besides reading, writing, adding & subtracting - one other thing Keira started really caring about this year was how she dresses. She has never really cared about what I picked out before. And while she still doesn't give me too hard a time, lately she almost always asks to wear a skirt. So she picked out a nice outfit for the occasion.

Shirt, skirt, and sandals are hand-me-downs. Love that they are new to her!

I will miss Mrs. Biggs as much as Keira. We were so lucky to have a teacher that truly loves her job. She was always only an e-mail away and so inviting when we would visit the classroom.

And even though there was not a graduation, Keira still earned a diploma.

So proud!

So First Grade here comes Keira!!! See you in September, Memorial School!!!
