First In, First Out

It's been over 5 1/2 years since Keira's first tooth popped out. And last weekend that first tooth that popped through her gums popped out of her gums!!!

The tooth was wiggly for a long time, since before the school year started. So Keira was not so patiently waiting for it fall out. And when it finally did (well I helped get it out with a slight tug) she ran around the house so excited!!!

 So of course that night we got ready for the Tooth Fairy's visit.

The generous Tooth Fairy left Keira $10 and a new toothbrush. Keira couldn't wait to use it when getting ready for school Monday morning.

The tooth next to the now vacant space is a little wiggly so it looks like the Tooth Fairy will be visiting 90 Powell Road often in the days, months, years to come. :)

 

If I Can Make It There

 I took another trip into New York City. Every time I've been to the city there is always something new to do & see. Today we were meeting Juh Juh & Gramps to see the Empire State Building!

Mommy & I hopped on the train early.

As soon as we came upstairs from the PATH train I knew which way to go!

We were lucky that the lines in the Empire State Building were pretty short. We were up on the 86th floor before we knew it!!

Grandpa gave me a lift to help me see the beautiful view.

I made friends with a couple of pigeons.

When we came back to the ground floor we met Aunt Laurie for lunch. On the way to meet her we ran into the brand new Rockefeller Christmas tree. It was only cut down yesterday so it's not decorated yet. But it was fun to see it anyway!

There aren't any pictures from lunch. Guess all Mommy could think about was the delicious burger at Bill's Burger Bar. Hee hee! But we had a nice visit with Aunt Laurie & her newly fitted engagement ring. ;)

After lunch Aunt Laurie went back to work & we headed to "the big toy store" - FAO Schwarz!

To sweeten the day even more we went to the Hershey's store in Times Square!

Juh Juh bought me a chocolate snowman that was DELICIOUS!! And helped give me the energy to make it home. Thankfully Mommy also sprung for a taxi to get us back to the train.

And that's all she wrote!!!! We had a smooth trip home and I am happy for another fun day in a great city with people I love!!!

 

Apple Picking with Juh Juh

A couple of weeks ago we went to our favorite farm in NY to pick apples with Juh Juh. The weather was perfect and we had a great day!

Even though I ate some apples while we picked, I was still hungry for lunch. So I had my peanut butter sandwich while enjoying the beautiful view.

After lunch we enjoyed a hayride before headed back to Juh Juh's house.

It was a fun Fall day!!! Yay!!!

This One Is For You, Grandpa!!

The blog post service two purposes. The first is so Grandpa stops harassing Mommy about writing an updated post - haha. The second is to show Grandpa that I can do something better than Mommy & with a smile on my face -- mow the lawn!!!

I stuck with it for about 30 minutes which Mommy says is longer than she ever mowed the lawn!

Six!!!!!!

Keira's birthday celebration started nearly 3 weeks before her actual birthday. Since she is a summer baby her school allows the kids born in July & August to celebrate in school before summer vacation. This means that pretty much every day of the last two weeks of school it's someone's "birthday".

Keira brought in her favorite birthday treat - number donuts from Dunkin Donuts!

Fast forward about 3 weeks and it was finally Keira's actual birthday! Keira spent the day at camp & afterwards we went to Toys R Us and out to dinner. Keira is a simple girl and would have been perfectly happy having me make her a belgain waffle at home but it's always more fun to celebrate your birthday with dinner out.

Even for dessert -- we offered to take her to any of her faves -- Dairy Queen, Rita's, or Dunkin Donuts but no, she just wanted to eat the donut she had gotten the day before from Stop & Shop. Ha!

On Saturday the 6th the celebration continued! Keira invited her friends (and #1 cousin) to the movies to see Despicable Me 2. It was a fun time & the movie was good. And it was awesome to see Keira's name "up in lights".

And as if that wasn't enough - the after party at Juh-Juh & Gramps was great too!

My Summer Vacation...So Far, So Good!

Once Kindergarten ended it's been fun in the sun!

First I had a few great days with Daddy. The library, the movies, & a few different parks. 

And speaking of parks! I headed to Bear Mountain with Juh-Juh, Grandpa, Mommy, Aunt Laurie, & Uncle Matt. We had a great day visiting the zoo, having a picnic lunch, and just walking around & getting some exercise. Afterward I cooled off with the hose & enjoyed hanging out with the family.

Then it was time to hit the road!!! Mommy & I were headed to North Carolina! We had a great visit with Jenn, Jimmy, Kylie, Bella, & Jaxson. Even Destine' came home to see us!!!
