Everyone knows I love Manhattan. The bedroom window in my childhood apartment in Queens had a clear view of the Empire State Building. I still find it crazy that it took me until my 20s to actually make it to the top of that awesome building. That will not be the case for Keira. I fully intend on bringing her there before she is 6! But in the meantime I try to show her the other great things NYC has to offer. It helps that Keira's Aunt Laurie lives on the LES.
We took advantage of the gorgeous summer day and walked the Williamsburg Bridge. It was Keira's first time in Brooklyn. Ha!

After we made it back to the Manhattan side of the bridge we headed to a playground just a few blocks from Laurie's apartment. I don't know how Keira had any energy left after our nearly 3 mile walk but she did. To our surprise there was a sprinkler there! It reminded me of running through the sprinkler at a park in Glendale. I don't think Keira could believe I was going to let her run through with her clothes on because it took some coaxing.

| Coolin' off |
And to cool off even more, she got an authentic italian ice from a guy pushing a cart through the park.

| YUM! |
Finally, we got back to Laurie's place. And as if we weren't exhausted already and walking up the her 4th floor apartment wasn't enough, we walked up a few more floors to the roof. What a view!
