On Friday after nearly 2 hours in bumper to bumper traffic, just as we were about to finally get off the Garden State Parkway, Keira got car sick. I guess it's a blessing in disguise that it happened less than an hour from home and we were able to turn around. We got the car and Keira cleaned up and I thought of leaving early the next morning but I woke up at 4am Saturday with a really terrible migraine. And as my very awesome and understanding friend Jenn said, we shouldn't ignore God's whispers. It seems we just weren't meant to go this time.
We spent our Saturday doing our usual thing, dancing school in the morning then various other errands, etc. We got to visit with my friend Carole & her two boys.
On Sunday we were in for a special treat, Patrick was spending the weekend at Grandpa & Juh-Juh's. So we headed there early Sunday morning to spend some time with him. We took Keira & Patrick to Jumpin Jakes and they had a blast. Patrick was so great with Keira. I got to sit down most of the time.
Keira really enjoyed the time with her big cousin. It definitely helped her forget we should have been with Kylie in North Carolina. She was so very sad when I told her we weren't going.
So here are some pictures of the weekend that should have never even happened but I am glad it did.
